TEMPORARY COLLECTION, QUARANTINE
The Covid-19 global pandemic, and Massachusetts' Stay-At-Home order, temporarily shut down most businesses on Nantucket in the spring of 2020.
A new normal consisted of no construction, online ordering, schooling from home, empty streets, closed signs on doors, curbside pick up for groceries and dinner, and fabric face masks being sewn by individuals.
Solitary walks on quiet beaches, Land Bank and Conservation Foundation properties, and on desolate downtown sidewalks became our way to get much needed fresh air and perspective.

Though not a particularly happy time in our lives, these photographs carry a sense of eerie emptiness yet a backstory of a hopeful and tight knit community.
